How To Register

Registration & Fees: Text

Join USAGSO

Sign up at USAGSO, by following the links below each of our troops on the Our Troops page.  Please note that registration is on a first, come first serve basis.  Early registration opens up to returning members in April and opens up for new members in July.  It is possible to register during the scouting year if there is space in a troop.  If a troop you want to join is full please contact us directly so that we can try and find you a place.

Wait for Our Welcome

Once USAGSO has confirmed your registration with Basel Girl Scouts we will send you a welcome email along with our required forms and an invoice for our local dues of CHF 250.  Please note that it can take several days or more for a registration to be confirmed. If it has been awhile with no confirmation please feel free to email us.

Pay Local Dues & Complete Forms

Pay your local dues and complete the required forms before your first Girl Scout activity.  Please note that your space in a troop is not guaranteed until dues are paid.

The Deal With Dues

Basel Girl Scouts fees are CHF 250, which covers the cost of our Basel Girl Scout starter kit and most troop expenses. Significant trips such as weekend camps will be charged separately.  In addition, USAGSO charges an annual membership fee of $45 for girls and $25 for adult volunteers. (Basel Girl Scouts reimburses for the adult volunteer fee.) If the dues are a financial hardship please email us directly - we want to make sure every interested girl can participate in Girl Scouts!
